This is an archive of the band profile for The Rhythm Sisters.

The Rhythm Sisters are Mandi Laek and Debi Laek, two sisters from Leeds, who had success in the late '80s with their highly acclaimed debut album Road to Roundhay Pier while still in their teens. Along with the ‘third Rhythm Sister’ Bill Byford, the proud Yorkshire lassies sang about Lazy Leeds afternoons, lucidly describing in song their observations and escapades around their home town. They released an experimental second album Willerby produced by Yorkshire musical hero Bill Nelson. Now, along with musicians Chris Halliwell, Ian Livingstone, Bruce Foxton, Steve Jones and Chris Bostock they have recorded their best musical pieces. These recordings are now to be released in late 2006 as their third and final album..
