Leeds duo Pifco will release their debut album on July 7th.

Released on the Run Of The Mill Records label, ‘Pifco a go go’ is the band’s first official release since they began producing music together in 2004 - although they have featured on many compilations and have released a tape EP in that time.

Already well established within the Leeds music scene with a constant run of gigs supporting the likes of Pram, Scout Niblet, The Long Blondes, a.P.A.T.t and No Age, Pifco’s grunge sound is reminiscent of early Sonic Youth, with a heavy dose of jerky punk rock similar to Coachwhips and a splash of electro indie pop akin to The Fall.

The 11-track album includes the songs ‘Jumping Sickness’; ‘Snorkle Stalker’; ‘Jonny No Name’; ‘Aluminium Shoes’; ‘Mixer’; ‘Get!!’; ‘The Long Island Incident’; ‘The Embassy Dinner’; ‘Race Course Race Horse’; ‘Face Wall Paper’; and ‘Cliff Jumper and Hound’.

Pifco play to embark on a UK tour in September.
